Ny Sopheak has just finished the first week of his 3-month
training at ATP. These 3 months include an internship.
It’s a rather short training especially because this young
man only has a BAC 2 in agriculture. A very good point though is his high
motivation. He is very involved in what he is doing.
This training is covering a basic knowledge in cooking.
We wish Sopheak to become a teacher which is not becoming a
Chef, but a cooking-teacher.
Like most teachers at Saint Francois Technical School, he
will need some teacher training.
It happens that ATP provides this kind of course for
technical teachers. This course can be delivered in their place in Phnom Penh
or in our premises if we have at least 5 teachers to train. Very interesting indeed…
They say that they train the teachers to teach technical subjects using 18 different methods. Definitely interesting! Their fee, for in-house training, if they come to our place, is $150 per trainee. It takes 2 full days only.
I’ll prepare a proposal to ask for this training which could be an important part of our teaching improvement strategy.
