Never Stop Learning

First solution for online teaching could be:

Google docs + email = for people new
Teaching from a book:
Make speaking from the book into mini writing OR have student find a partner at their house or via Telegram

The second solution could be:

Social media group (Facebook, Telegram)

“Forum type speaking activity” Teacher asks a question - Student 1 answers and asks a new question - S 2 answers and asks a new question to S 3 etc.…
Students do by pair by audio on telegram, phone…
Use their names, encourage them, praise them

The third solution could be:

Learning management system (Google Classroom)

The fourth solution could be:

Live lesson with ZOOM:

Flipped methodology
20 minutes’ lessons are better (attention span)
First lesson: socialize/ try / be happy
First 5 minutes: talk about connection problems (chit chat)
What to do if your internet drops out during the lesson
Don’t focus only on grammar
Focus on communicating

IDEAS FOR BREAKOUT ROOMS (on ZOOM)

Automatically: zoom does it.
Recreate buttons: makes new rooms / new pairs / new groups
Small tasks of maximum 5 min to keep them engaged
Paired interviews: when, where, who, what, why, how
Rehearsing dialogues
Showing videos: 3 minutes is a max.
Assessment should include participation and presence which is an issue.

CONCLUSION OF THAT WEBINAR:

Online teaching is new for everybody because of the Covid19. We discover it when we do it. The situation might chance in the next few weeks again…
