Teaching is a job which requires specific skill. Using technology to
teach, and especially to teach online, requires more skills!
1st attempt:
In this video:
Fun speaking program – The “How are you? “lesson
from Genki English
Only the teacher. (No students)
Teacher shares the software with the
students.
Teacher uses “ZOOM” app (downloaded from
zoom.us)
Possible issues:
-
The sound we hear for the song comes from the
speaker near my computer: Is it clear enough?
-
Do the students who will watch this video understand
they have to repeat? Is it engaging enough?
-
Would potential students, like our Tourism or
Agriculture students, have a fast enough internet connection to follow (and to
participate if the get online)? And what obout student who can't connect to internet?
I feel there is a great potential with online teaching. It
surely requires a bit of practice though!
Thank you to the Covid-19 to give us that possibility to extend
our scope of teaching.
