Our program definitely needs to be modified. It is actually neither adapted to the level of the students nor to their employability when they leave our school.
It has to be more practical in order to give our students the right keys for their first job.
With Chenda and Tongsy, who are the 2 full time teachers of the tourism section, we have decided to review it thoroughly.
Chenda is in charge of food processing, Tongsy is in charge of housekeeping, and I am in charge of the food and beverage program. Together, we will take care of the front office section. We also include a tour-guiding part which allows a great deal of research.
I’d also like to review the General English Program but it’s not easy because of a lack of training of the teacher who basically does some grammar-translation like they used to do to teach Latin 200 years ago. The students refuse to speak during his class.
The situation is easier with Chanda and Tongsy but they definitely need to enhance their level of teaching.
